This FAQ contains questions and answers for the main Cyberscore site itself.

Why can't I login?
Make sure you have cookies enabled, that your username and password are correct and that you're not banned for any reason.

Do I have to sign up to the forums separately?
No, you should have been signed up to the forum when you filled in the form for the site.

I have a forum account but no site account, I thought I signed up to both.
Unfortunately, you will have to sign up again to the main site if you signed up for a forum account first. The form only works when you sign up from the main site.

Hey, once I've entered a score, I can't erase it, what gives? It's ruining my average!!
For that reason, the option to erase scores is not there, if you want a higher average, then you will have to improve those scores.

So there is no way I can get them erased then?
Under very special circumstances we will remove records on request, but never because they're not "good enough".

How do I change my username?
You can't. A Cyberscore username is for life, not just for Christmas. If you have a really good reason why it should be changed then again PM a moderator.

My record has "pending investigation" underneath it, what do I do?
This means that someone has marked your record suspicious and is waiting for a moderator to look at it. It may be a good idea to get some proof ready just in case.

Now my record says "under investigation"! What happens now?
Well, this means that a moderator is now investigating the record, and you should receive an email about it. If you do follow the instructions provided to get your record approved. If you don't receive the email or are still unsure what to do, try here for some more information. If we don't hear anything from you after a week we're likely to delete the record, so do try and contact us either way.

I think someone elses record is a lie/typo/impossible/etc
If you only have an issue with the odd score or two, the easiest way to bring them to our attention is to click on the score itself, and use the form on the page it loads to provide us with an explanation of why you are reporting it, the more detailed the better. If the issue is a larger one (multiple scores in a chart, lots of scores from a single user) then it may well be better to make a topic in our Dodgy Records forum. If you're not sure which to do, read this topic for clarification.

Why do some people have stars next to their username?
These people have kindly donated to help further the production of Cyberscore, and as such have been recognised on the site. They gain no benefits in terms of points or position.

What can I do to donate?

Some of my records appear twice when I try to edit my records, what's up?
This just means your record has been duplicated, fortunately, this problem rarely occurs now. If resubmitting doesn't work, then again just PM a moderator and they will sort it out for you.

Can I use an emulator for my scores?
No, we have a policy here at Cyberscore which bans the use of any emulation equipment for your records, if you are caught using an emulator then your records for that game will be deleted, and at the moderators discretion, your account will be suspended or deleted.

Can I share an account with my best friend/brother/guildmate?
Again, this is against Cyberscore policy, so the answer is No. Shared accounts are not allowed as Cyberscore is a site that focuses purely on solo competition, and we will normally ask you to split the account and records. Failure to comply with this will result in suspension of the account in question.

How can I change skins?
Go to your profile and at the bottom, there is a skins drop down tool, a few options for you to choose from will appear. When you are happy, hit the Save Changes button.

So what is the formula for the main scoreboard, I want to maximise my chances of getting to the top?
We have limited knowledge of the formula to as few people as possible to prevent any potential abuse of it. Safe to say the best way to be top is to have a large number of high scoring records.

This medal table is stupid, I have 99 silvers yet I'm beaten by this guy with one gold, what gives?
This is the same as the Olympics, meaning, no matter how many lesser medals you have, you will never be above someone with one more higher medal. If you have the same number of medals, then the next lower medal is used to decide ties.

How long does it usually take for a moderator to check proofs of records?
It all depends of the availability of the moderators at the time, usually it is never more then a week, however we don't make any promises.
